Jacqueline Woodall Johnson

Obituary of Jacqueline Faye Woodall Johnson

Jacqueline “Jacqui” Faye Woodall Johnson, 71, of Columbia, SC, peacefully departed this world in her sleep, after battling cancer of unknown primary origin for the last 8 months, on the evening of September 30, 2018 at her home.  Jacqui was born in Greenville, SC to Edna and Lloyd Woodall, who both predeceased her.  Jacqui was well loved by many, and she is survived by her brother, John Woodall; two children: Mickey Lee Johnson Jr. (Andrea) and Delaina Louise McKinney (Mac); and five grandchildren: Timothy Johnson, Nolan McKinney, Cora McKinney, Stella Johnson, and Laurel McKinney; and many, many friends.

Jacqui will be remembered as a force of love, optimism, and positivity in the lives of those who knew and loved her.  She loved to help people and loved her family, which included her extended family, former in-laws, church family, work family, neighbors and clients, her children, and most of all, her grandchildren.

Jacqui was an enthusiastic Gamecocks fan who loved to travel with her cousin Barbara Lahrmer and her friend Linda Barney, especially to the beaches of South Carolina. She worked at Reimbursement Consultants Inc. (RCI) in Chapin, SC for more than 20 years with a wonderful group of co-workers and friends.

Jacqui had a strong faith and was an active member of Midlands Christian Church in Lexington, SC, where she served in many ways including VBS and their cancer care ministry.  She was also a member of philanthropist social sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.

While we are saddened that she was taken from us at such a young age, we acknowledge that we have many blessings in our lives and that we were blessed to have the time with her that we were granted.  She was blessed as well, despite her early departure. May Jacqui’s legacy of helping others continue through the lives of those who were blessed to know her.
