She taught elementary school for several years in both Greenville and Columbia.  After raising two children, she later worked at the South Carolina Supreme Court and most recently volunteered in Radiology and served on the Auxiliary Board at Lexington Medical Center.  Sharon loved spending time with family and friends, reading books about people and places, traveling to unique locations and spending time in her garden.  She also volunteered with Finish the Wall to build churches in impoverished countries. Sharon was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Columbia, where she was a member of the “Joy of Living” Sunday school class.
