Obituary of April D Barber

April D. Barber – Elgin – Memorial services for April D. Barber, 53, of Elgin, will be private. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements. Ms. April Barber passed away July 27, 2020. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Lewis H Hall and Bobra Collins Wright. April loved animals, and had a pet turtle, Pooh, for more than 20 years. She found her passion by enriching the lives of children at Epworth Children’s Home and Three River Residential Home.

She enjoyed finding her “treasures” with her mother at antique stores and flea markets. April was a gifted soul who enabled others to obtain spiritual clarity and awareness through her enlightened wisdom. April was a classy lady with a unique style, which included her beautiful bangles and her fashionable clothes.

April is survived by her son, LaQuinn L. Landrum of Lexington; loving aunt, Gloria Morgan (Albert) of Columbia; and a large and loving extended family. In addition to her parents, April was predeceased by her brother, Errol D. Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in April’s name, to Epworth Children’s Home, 2900 Millwood Avenue, Columbia, SC 29205.
