Obituary of Jolene M. Rice

Services for Jolene Matthews Rice, 92, of Columbia, will be private. Woodridge Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family with arrangements. Jolene Rice passed away July 12, 2022. Born in Saluda, SC, she was the daughter of the late Adicus Reba Matthews and Lessie Miller Matthews. Jolene enjoyed traveling, and was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Jolene retired after a long career with the US Federal Judicial System. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kitty Brown Turner of Columbia and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, Jolene was predeceased by her sons, Edward Turner and Frederick Turner.

Jolene family would like to thank the staff of Colonial Gardens Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in West Columbia for their loving care for the past few years.
