Obituary of William Quillian Wansley Jr.

William Quillian “Will” Wansley, Jr. – WEST COLUMBIA – Graveside funeral services with USAF military honors for Will Wansley, Jr., will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 24, 2023 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Woodridge Funeral Home is assisting the Wansley family with arrangements.

Will Wansley passed away on February 18, 2023. Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of the late William Quillian Wansley and Juanese Mishoe Wansley. After graduating from Columbia High School, Will served his country in the US Air Force. He later contracted with the Air Force on special projects while travelling the world. After returning home, he worked with his father in the real estate business, and also worked as a security consultant. He was a loving son, brother and uncle who will be missed by all who knew him.

Will is survived by his sister, Wendy Marsh of Gilbert; brother, Wally Wansley (Terry) of Clayton, NC; nieces and nephews, Joseph Marsh, Jacob Wansley (Hannah), Ben Wansley (Kathryn), Chelsea Wansley; great niece and nephew, Oliver and Hallie Wansley. Will was predeceased by his parents.

The family would like to thank the staff of Opus Post-Acute Care and the staff of Lexington Medical Center for their attentive care of Will. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the animal related charity of one’s choice.
